Samsung beats Apple to new foldable phone punch
Samsung was one of the first to market with foldable phones. And until recently, the market leader was the only provider with both fashion-forward flip-style and larger book-style foldables.

And now, with its eighth-generation foldable lineup, the foldable pioneer unfolded the Galaxy Z Fold8: a third, passport-shaped variant to complement the Z Fold8 Ultra, with its trademark long-and-lean book-style model.
Which begs the question why. And why now? Could it be that the market leader is trying to cut off Apple ahead of its rumored foldables launch?
